Stems often puberulent. Leaves: blades 20-60(-80+) × 3-25(-35+) mm, lobes lanceolate to linear or filiform, apices apiculate. Phyl­laries greenish, faces arachnose to villous. Ray laminae 5-6(-10) mm. Disc corollas 2-2.5 mm (including spurs). Cypselae 0.8-1.3 mm. 2n = 18 (Europe, Africa). Flowering Jun. Disturbed sites; 0-200 m; introduced; B.C.; Fla., N.J., N.Y., N.C., Ohio, Oreg., Pa.; Europe. Cladanthus mixtus is sporadically encountered in the flora area.
