Well-established along at least 29 m of gravel road corridor, on edge of low woods. Sandy, gravely soil, in partial shade. Overstory of Fraxinus nigra, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, and Acer rubrum, with the same species common in the understory. Rubus idaeus var. strigosus, Pteridium aquilinum, Agrimonia striata, Onoclea sensibilis, Phleum pratense, and Ranunculus acris common also. Both green and variegated forms grow here, but only the green form has flowers. Flowers white. [Green plant]
