United States, Arkansas, Benton, Ozark Highlands. Springfield Plateau Ecoregion. USGS Bentonville South 7.5' Quad. N of Lake Bentonville, 0.1 mi. NW of N end of runway at Bentonville Airport. 400 ft. E of SW I St., N of old fencerow of large bois d'arc trees. This site retains a number of low prairie elements and is under consideration to be some sort of hybrid conservation/recreation area. Degraded seasonally wet prairie/thicket (former orchard, hayfield, pasture, etc.), just upslope of edge of recently-created beaver marsh.
Fresh flowers yellow-orange. Plants rhizomatous.
