shrubs 4-5 ft tall, flowers white, spicy sweet odor; Leaves glaucescent to glaucous below. Pedicels near base of flowers rosy read blending into glaucous green. Stamens from rosy-red to bright red. Pistils bright red.
duplicate of MOAR0004988; small colony; This collection terminates many years search for this species in this locality. Collected in __ by John K. Small and never found since. These specimens grow in line with the southern edges of the crumbling stone footings of an ancient bridge across the River.
