Soil characteristics: Bayou Sandy Loam, 0 to 1 percent slopes (226) - deep, poorly drained, moderately slowly permeable soils formed in loamy sediments of marine origin - A SERIES OF SMALL KNOWN EXTENT. Associate plant species: Osmunda cinnamomea, Sarracenia alata, Lycopodiella alopecuoides, Smilax laurifolia, Magnolia virginiana, Acer rubrum var. trilobum, Mitchella repens, Woodwardia areolata, Liriodendron tulipifera, Cleistes bifaria, Photonia pyrifolia, Viburnum nudum, Stokesia laevis, Ilex coriacea, Carex debilis var. debilis. Rare.
